where all the fairytales began....
Happy Monday!! I'll try to help you beat "the case of the Monday's" with today's creative and funny proposal spotlight! Enjoy!
So, you're trying to figure out the perfect way to propose.... Start here. What does your girlfriend like? Is she obsessed with everything disney? I have this sorority sister who would die over this proposal (she has a tattoo of the Magic Castle on her chest!!). Today is featuring a laid-back couple who took their proposal to the next level at disneyland!
He and his girlfriend met on mainstreet exactly one year before he called a crowd to gather around to witness him asking the most important question of his life. You have to see this. It's definitely creative, and a little funny. Yes- it's theatrical, but it's quirky and DEFINITELY unique! :) A day she's sure to remember forever.
Watch the video here, and enjoy!!! :) Have a great week all!
*Just wanted to give a heads up, sometime in the next 16 days, I'll be expecting a little addition to my family, so I'll be taking a little time off from blogging.*

Ole! Ole! Ole!
Haha, so today is my first honeymoon "hotspot"... CANCUN!!
Just a short plane ride from California, you can find yourself with your love at one of the most beautiful stretches of sand and clear blue water sipping on a cocktail and relaxing.
This area has been an attraction to college students for years for spring break-- with the famous all-inclusive resorts and night life. It is also the honeymooners paradise!
"It is what you make of it!" That phrase is so perfect for this location. Regardless of the type of honeymooners you are, there is something here to please everyone. So kick off your shoes, grab a cocktail and get to the beach! :)
Happy Thursday, everyone!
preview to tomorrow: ...it's date night!!!!

Hey, Look over here!!!!
Today is all about one of the most important areas to "splurge" on in your wedding! Rule #1: Never skimp and save on photography!!! I've had friends do this and let me tell you now-- they have all been disappointed! Your wedding photos will be with you your entire life, so it'd be so sad to be reminded of a nightmare experience every time you look at them. Take it from me, a good photographer is worth the extra $$ :).
Today's spotlight is none other than the NEW wedding photographer, Brynn Alyson Photography. I have been a fan of her baby, party, and family portraits for a while now and was so excited to see that she has started to photograph weddings as well! She definitely has a great eye and really captures people in the moment. I really can't say enough good things about her work. But- enough talk, now! Go see for yourself, here!!
Here are a couple samples of the weddings she has captured so far! She's great!

Location!! location!! location!!
pictures courtesy of Brian Khang Photography
Today's location is my local favorite. You cannot beat the views and ambiance anywhere else for a beach wedding in Orange County! There are two lawns that are used for wedding ceremonies and there are a number of ballrooms for your perfect reception.
I will say that I am a little biased to this location as I worked here for a year. (side note: working here is just as amazing-- it's a place you never mind going to on your day off!) Located in south Laguna Beach, just north of Aliso Creek beach, is this amaazing getaway. If you don't get married here, I HIGHLY reccomend going to spend a day with the girls, or your sweetie at their 5 star spa and kick back at the ocean front (best view of the entire resort) pool.
Well, I'll keep it short 'n simple today!! Check back tomorrow for the first vendor spotlight!!
**I just came across this great interview from OneWed, one of my favorite wedding tweeters. Click HERE Check out their exclusive interview with Melissa Rycroft on their website for her take on everything that goes in to planning YOUR perfect day.**
Happy Tuesday!

it started with a "yes"...
It's Proposal Monday!!!! Each Monday, I will spotlight a proposal that stuck out to me!! This week, (the first one!!), is so special to me as it is my best friends proposal. Davey did such a wonderful job planning this one out and I still tear up every time I watch it!
The story behind the proposal: When Davey and Danielle were in high school (yes, they were high school sweet hearts!!), Davey asked Danielle to prom. At our high school, everyone went crazy trying to be super creative asking their dates to the dances. Well Davey definitely was UNIQUE!! He got a huge tub of butter and handed it to Danielle. She looked at it and he said "I thought I'd butter you up before asking you to prom."
Fast forward 6 years, Danielle has a tradition of christmas tree shopping with her parents every year. Well, her dad was in on Davey's plan, and so they all went together (her mom had NO idea, either!) Danielle showed up and if you watch the video, you can see parts of the poem that he wrote to her. She walked through the beautiful christmas trees, from sign to sign, each with a part of the poem on them, before emerging to a circle of trees all lit up with christmas lights and a table in the middle. The table held a huge bouquet of roses with petals scattered. Then comes Davey, he finishes the poem and gets down on one knee... and you guessed it- she said YES!!! :)
Danielle was so surprised!! After the proposal, they returned home and Davey had a limo waiting to take them to see the christmas lights and go to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory (where they had their first date!) and 1 1/2 years later, they tied the knot in a beautiful vineyard in Temecula, CA.
They are such a special couple to me and I am so excited to be able to share their story with you! Check back tomorrow for a southern California location spotlight!! :)
